Currently completing my 500 Hour Teacher Training in Chromatic Yoga with Matt Giordano.

I have always loved movement and come from a contemporary dance and acting background which informs my teaching style and approach. I first found my way into the world of yoga after discovering a book about yoga asana and trying out the poses with a friend after school, thinking that the lycra outfits and animal pose names were completely hilarious and the spiritual elements of the practice were intriguing and magical.

I attended my first ever in-person yoga class whilst I was working and training as an actor in London. I was struggling with the demands of the course and seeking ways to keep myself physically fit but mentally calm and clear. After my first warrior 2; I was hooked. Yoga soon became the daily practice that helped me to navigate the challenges of being a performer, as well as the pressures of training at drama school and living in a busy city. The practice of yoga asana supported me both physically; (keeping my body flexible, healthy, and injury-free) and mentally (allowing me to slow down, focus, and become still). I would later discover the deeper spiritual support that the practice was weaving into my life.

I practiced for myself in various studios in and around London, (both during and after my training) slowly growing my understanding of the different styles and approaches of different schools and the varied styles and teachers that London has to offer. in 2018 I traveled to Sri Lanka to begin my yoga teaching journey under senior teacher Erin Prichard with Yogarise.

Initially, this experience was to deepen my experience and explore my own practice, but I fell in love with teaching and began to offer classes to friends and family at home. I have grown my teaching from these roots, and now have six years of experience teaching yoga and movement in various environments, including corporate spaces, community spaces, studio spaces, and on a one-to-one basis.

I am very grateful to all of the teachers I have worked with for sharing their knowledge and guidance with me over the years, as their generous sharing of yoga has transformed my life in many ways. It is an honor to now get to share the practice with others and to see and share the incredible shifts and changes it can make in people’s daily lives.

I believe that incorporating even just 5 minutes of yoga into our day can leave us feeling so much better on multiple levels, and it is this magic of the practice that I endeavor to share in every class. I would describe my teaching style as relaxed, supportive & curious, and I teach yoga for longevity and wellbeing rather than as a ‘‘workout’' style class. For me, yoga is a wonderful tool that we can use to support our busy lives and help us to keep getting better, kinder, stronger, and more flexible (in mind and body!) every moment and every day. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner; I hope to meet you on the mat soon.
