Who can benefit from 121 yoga classes?

- ‘I’ve never done yoga before, and I definitely don’t want to make a fool of myself in front of others.’ Private yoga lessons are the perfect way to learn fundamental poses and build confidence early on. Private lessons also make the perfect gift for the beginner friend or family member that you want to introduce to yoga!

Those working with injuries or limited mobility - ‘I am finding that I can’t quite move at the same pace as everyone else right now; my body requires some special attention.’ We all get a little bruised up sometimes — it’s part of being human. Private yoga lessons are a great way to stay on the path when group classes become too vigorous or aren’t meeting your specific needs. Even if you can’t move much, in a 121 class I will ensure you move safely and teach you the basics that will allow you to confidently practice yoga.

Those who like to keep things private - ‘My practice is as unique as I am, and I drop in differently when I move and breathe on my own, with a qualified guide.’ For some of us, it is easier to soak up the lessons of yoga more fully when we are in a cocoon of our own rather than in a group setting. Private yoga sessions are just that — completely private and tailored to you and your unique inquiries about the practice. Your healing journey is unique and I am here to support you.

Those who have a busy and demanding schedule - ‘I am in dire need of yoga in my life, but my schedule is so hectic that I can’t ever make it to class at the right times.’ When life gets crazy, usually the first things to drop are our healthy habits — including yoga practice. Is this you? No problem! I can ensure yoga comes to you even if it’s during off-hours.

Those who feel stuck/uninspired - ‘I can sense my practice isn’t what it used to be, and I acknowledge it’s ok to ask for help getting back on track.’ Yoga is a relationship, and hopefully, it’s one that lasts your whole lifetime! Like any relationship, there are ups and downs. If you’re a little ‘down’ on your practice right now, a 121 class might be just the thing. I will support you by assessing and noticing what you might need and creating a bespoke yoga class that will help to bring the passion and zest back to your practice.

A small group of friends or family - ‘We would like a private class to share together!’ Whether you are looking to get your family members or friends into yoga, or are planning a small group event such as a hen-do or just for fun, a small group booking can be a great way to enjoy your yoga practice together as a group.

In order to support well-being at work; I offer bespoke online and in-person yoga classes for corporate clients on both an individual and group basis. The sessions are designed to develop greater physical mobility, strength, and flexibility, help release physical and mental tension and cultivate an overall sense of peace and wellbeing. A regular yoga class can be a wonderful way to support both mental and physical health within the workplace.

As we find ourselves working from home or the office for most of the day (and often at a desk or seated for hours at a time) it is common for us to spend the majority of our time in our minds - analyzing, thinking, and doing - which can leave us quite mentally exhausted and disconnected from our physical and emotional bodies. Research has shown that creating space in the day for movement and meditation breaks helps to build resilience, enhances decision making, and boosts creativity and productivity. To thrive at work, it is crucial for us to adopt tools and practices to manage stress, be more present, communicate effectively, resolve conflict and navigate change and uncertainty. Bringing weekly yoga classes to your teams and colleagues can also be a great way to support the transition into or out of the working day, or to break up long periods of sitting at a desk.

Research has shown that a ‘yoga at work’ program can help to:

✽ Decrease stress

✽ Improve a general sense of wellbeing

✽ Reduce the number of sick days taken

✽ Reduce back pain and postural tension

✽ Increase productivity

✽ Build a deeper connection and rapport between colleagues
